WINTER TERM

Comme la dernière fois, je vais essayer de vous vendre du rêve en vous donnant les cours que je fais ce semestre:

ACCOUNTING: "La compta pour les nuls"
This course is designed to enable students majoring in nonbusiness fields to obtain an understanding of business transactions and the fundamentals of the accounting systems used to record and report financial data of business entities.

MANUFACTURING STRATEGIES:
Introduces you to one of the most sucessful manufacturing strategies in operations: lean manufacturing, as seen at Toyota and other companies.


BENCHMARKING, PRODUCTIVITY ANALYSIS AND PERFORMANCE MEASURE
The objectife of this course is to understand the problems inherent in performance measurement and master several state-of-art techniques and their use in quality managemant and continuous improvement.

NON LINEAR PROGRAMMING:
In this course we will focus on convex optimization. The broad areas we will cover in various depths are: Convex sets and convex functions, Convex optimization problems, including linear, quadratic, semidefinite, and other special problems, Duality and optimality conditions, Algorithms for unconstrained and constrained convex optimization, Applications of convex optimization

SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMNT:
Supply chain management is a strategic tool for coordinating activities concerned with planning, implementation, and control of material, goods, information, money, and equipment flows between suppliers and customers. In IOE 641 we will focus on quantitative methods, techniques and theoretical models used in supply chain management research. We will discuss not only classical inventory management and supply chain management models, but also recent contributions to the field.
